I created this high school French class because I couldn’t find what I truly wanted for my own children anywhere.
I want my children – and yours – to enjoy a Charlotte Mason feast in French: poetry, stories, art, history, geography, and nature study. French the living way! I want our children to be able to have meaningful conversations and to express ideas beautifully in French.
French One: the Living Way is the perfect balance of all a French class should be – meaningful practice to get you speaking, clear pronunciation guidance, grammar gently woven through the stories, repetition of vocabulary through picture study, and so much more – It’s a living French course designed to provide relational instruction and guided practice while earning a high school credit.

The lessons include folk songs, poetry, copywork, picture study, and reading. Rather than memorizing sentences to parrot back, students are encouraged to play with the language – to form their own unique original thoughts using the vocabulary and structures they have learned.
