Course runs August – May
Class consists of the following:
1. French notebooking
2. Greetings and calendar
3. Weekly conversations in French about daily and weekend activities
4. Rhymes, poems, and songs to build vocabulary quickly
5. Vocabulary related to a story or a Gouin series – related to topics of conversation
6. Reading and translating the story
7. Talking about the story or series working toward narration in French
8. Picture Study – describing paintings and art in French
Students are expected to complete a short copywork exercise per class and study vocabulary Monday/Wednesday/Friday for 10 minutes. Those who take the time to do the extra work are able to speak and comprehend much more quickly.
